Associate, Real Estate and Private Markets

Rob is an Associate for Canal Capital, focusing on Real Estate and Private Market investments. Before Canal, Rob was an Associate at Hines Interests, one of the largest private real estate development and investment firms globally. He focused on development and acquisitions, which included the development of a 3.1 million square foot, mixed-use site in Washington, DC, the acquisition of a Life Science asset in the Philadelphia region, the rezoning efforts of a 2 million square foot, mixed-use site in the Philadelphia region, and the development of nearly 800 lots in Loudoun County. Prior to Hines, Rob started his career at Lingerfelt Commonwealth Partners, where he contributed to the acquisition of over $250 million (2.79 million square feet) of Office and Industrial assets.

At Canal, Rob focuses on real estate and private market investments, including the management of Canal’s real estate and alternative funds, as well as due diligence support on new investments. Rob received his BSBA, with a specialty in Finance, from The Ohio State University and their associated business school, The Max M. Fisher College of Business. Rob and his fiancé are Richmond natives, with Rob having attended Freeman High School. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, and passionately cheering for the Buckeyes.
